subcaps with foreign characters (Farsi, Thai, Arabic, Tigrinia and Ukrainian )

    Hi!

I have translations in 9 languages for subcaps. Latin characters work fine. But the Farsi, Thai, Arabic, Tigrinia and Ukrainian characters will not show in the monitor – only as sqares –  yet shows in the Caption text window. Have tried editing Master Caption list, still doesn't show.

What can I do to get these characters to show?

    Hi Randi.....

    Marianna here.

    What monitor are you using?

I do know that if your Arabic text for example is displaying as squares, it usually means the font you're using doesn't support the Arabic characters, so you need to install a font that does, or check your system settings to ensure you have the necessary Arabic language pack installed.

Try also to go to your system's font settings. Search for and download a font that specifically supports Arabic characters, like "Arial Arabic" or "Traditional Arabic".

Access your system's language settings. Add the Arabic language if it's not already present.

if still busted, can you remove all language packs installed on your computer including Farsi, Arabic etc..... Set the region and language for your Mac and then reinstall and check it again?

ping me on email if still stuck and I can crate a case and get on it some more.

    Marianna
