I have had this program and have been using it for a very long time.  When I finished my last project, I tried to clean out the un-needed programs, and I keep getting error messages and the program just quits before removing anything.  Has anyone found a solution for this, or a work around, so I can clean out the unnecessary files on my computer?

As far as I'm aware, MDV doesn't need installing.

The MDV.doc I'm reading tells you to put the the exe file into any folder and just run the program by double clicking the executable.

If you don't want the program anymore just delete the folder.

The Windows version hasn't been updated in many years. It still works but some editors have reported a few bugs.

I think the Mac version is/was developed further, so I'm not sure if these versions have installers.

Can you take a look and see if you're experiencing these errors using MDV for Windows v0.3 (jun-23-2007)?

If you are, can you upload screenshots or send a link to a screen recording of the errors you're experiencing?

Hi Isaac,

I am using version 0.4 of MDV-Avid.  It will find the databases with no issue, but then as soon as I press the button to Scan, the program locks up and windows tells me that the program cannot continue and it shuts it down.  Am I the only one that is experiencing this issue.  MDV was a wonderfully easy way to clean out all the unused files when I finished a project.  I don't know if there is a workaround within Avid.

Thank you for the link.  V0.3 works!  It is not as clean a release as v0.4 though.  Any idea if a new version will be released, or when?
