this is not working for some reason now...maybe i missed a step....can you make a quick screen grab of the text replacement process from a bin?
sorry to bump this....is there a video somewhere that shows the exact process to change the font of a selection by dragging a title template from a bin without also changing the text?
Every time I try it here, everything gets changed (font, text, color etc.) and no dragging to the effect editor or the dashboard anywhere does the trick....happy to post a video...
bumping and hoping
...hope this video helps explain the question of fonts not coming over from templates...what am i doing wrong? thx....

Hi Robert,
Thanks for all the feedback and the video you've shared.
The issue you are having seems like a bug - indeed, the right workflow would be to drag the saved template from the bin to the desired group in the Effect Editor (while the object is selected).
I managed to reproduce it on my end, which seem to default to a wrong font for some reason. I'll log a bug to it and hopefully it could be resolved for the next release.
Thanks,
Elad
good to know...this worked as expected on 24.6 on the local intel mac....
OH MAN! I can't believe this is back. I loved filling titles with texture. Thank you! and Thank you for a useable title tool again!!!
After so many years of griping, it's time to say thank you to the engineers who have created a Titler that at least works, if it's not the most elegant tool in town, I don't care, all I need it to do is WORK. And it does. Thank you Avid coder team, we've been (repeatedly) told how big a lift this was.
Suggestion:
Every time I open the tool, two windows open - the effect editor, and the Titler+ tool itself. Beucase it's been built as an effect, the former is fine though vageuly annoying. But can you PLEASE ensure that the Titler+ tool itself OPENS IN THE SAME PLACE EVERY TIME?! Every time I open it, it's in some completely random place onscreen.

Hi Philip, thanks for acknowledging the hard work made by the team - I'll make sure to share this with them.
As to your request:
@AvidElad
I'm currently running just a single 32" monitor.
....sorry to report the incorrect font changing issue described earlier is still there in v 24.12
...does this have a bug number?

Hi Robert, you are correct. Unfortunatly, due to other priorities this issue was not resolved in 24.12.
I've bumped it's priority with the hope to include it in the next release.
To your question, the referance bug number is: MCDEV-19873
thank you....i spent some time working with the legacy Titler+ in MC1st...ironically...it works exactly as you would hope, with Fonts, Fills, Shadows, Outlines all responding when a test title is dragged onto that parameter....
....so, its good to see what the idea is....
.....None of the parameters (Font, Fill, Shadow, Outline were all i tested) worked in the new Titler+...they would change all right...to the first font in the alphabet list...white for the Fill and black for the Shadow and Outline....are those defaults? in any case...none of it worked and it will be nice to get this resolved....
....there is a simple workaround to get a skewed box....export the title with the box only as a matte and fill...bring it back in and put a matte key on the matte track...then its a standard matte and skewing can be added...it works fine and takes little time to do...
