Currently working in most up to date version of Media Composer Ultimate and trying to have Mandarin text on my video. Trying to use the Sub-Cap tool as I would with English but any time I copy and paste in any Madarin text from a Word document I only get boxes instead of the characters. I do have a number of Mandarin and Chinese fonts installed on my computer that work in After Effects and the like.
Looking around I've seen this is an issue with Avid for years. Has anyone found a real solution to this yet?
Hey, It would be helpful to know which version of Avid and which OS you're running?
The version is 2021.12.55552 and runing Windows 10 21H2
First make sure the font you're trying to use works on the system. Can you use it in a Word document?
