Dear Avid and Developers,
Our customer has a problem, that they are using our software to checkin media into Interplay.
They are checkin a high quality DNxHR master clip without audio, and a low res proxy with audio for the same MOBID.
The master and the proxy are on different Nexis volume.
Everything is checked in correctly, everything is online in the Interplay, and seems to be there is no problem.
But, when they are tying to use the high res clip version, they cannot hear audio.
We are not sure if such a master(no audio)/proxy(audio) setup should work with Interplay or not.
Thank you for your help,
Gyula Priskin
Hi gyula,
yes, a hires/lores setup with video/audio hires and lowres/proxies is fully supported by MediaCentral Production Management (formerly Interplay) and everything will work smoothly if the required metadata is correct. Note that there is not just one 'mobid' but - for masterclips - at least three (master mob id, physical source mob id and file mob id) that are all relevant.
