    Integration MediaCentral with Media Composer

    Hello!

I need to implement plugin for integration between MCUX and Media Composer to solve the next workflow.

I have sequence with not rendered effects. In MCUX player window I see message "Unrendered effects".

On a separate machine I have a Avid Media Composer.

I want to have Render and Refresh buttons, maybe as Actions (https://developer.avid.com/mcux_ui_plugin/clux-api/actions-api.html).

The "Render" button should send the MobID to Media Composer. The composer must open the sequence, render all the effects (there is such a function in the interface) and check it in the Interplay database. The "Refresh" button should load the rendered sequence from Interplay.

I'm newest in AVID plugin development, so I any advices would be appriciated. Which APIs I can use to implement such integration?

    Hi Nikin,

You can't "send" anything from MCUX to Media Composer, you essentially have to "pull" material into Media Composer from Media Central Production (Interplay). You could potentially create a common "Render Required" folder in Media Central Production to which you could push sequences that need rendering then you could locate that folder in Media Composer and render its contents.

    Cheers

    Mike
