"Exception: Sequence refers to non-existent track in clip. Please turn off monitoring and re-edit references to the following clip. You may then re-enable monitoring."
...then it has the clip name and that it's missing track A2.
Got this error after hitting play on some proxy clips that I brought in (via dropping the .mdb file into my bin).
We shot a film on RED in 4k. My DP made proxies in Resolve. (we'll finish in Resolve)
Clips with SLOMO play fine (I'm guessing because there was no sound recorded)
Anyone know why or how to fix? How do I "turn off monitoring"? How do I "re-edit references to the clip"?
Thank you!!
Sounds like the master clip expects there to be audio but it's missing the actual media file in the media folder. Remember Avid media has separate media for video and each audio track.
My bet is A2 audio track is missing.
With the source monitor cleared you can Unlink the master clip from its media then modify the tracks for the master clip to remove A2 then relink.
But better to try and get the missing A2 track.
Or easier AMA link the source Red file and Transcode your own proxy file.

Thank you, Pat!
I ended up just deleting the clips in my bin and deleting the .mdb and .pmr files ...
Then jumping back into Avid so that it could rebuild the databases...
then I brought the clips in again by dropping the .mdb file into my bin and it's been playing back okay now. Not sure why it's working now but the good news is that it's working now. haha
