Can I just delete all contents of Avid attic?

What happens when I delete everything in Avid attic? I need space on C.

I finished these projects, but might need to access them again in the future.

Is there any disadvantage of deleting the attic or should I save the attic to and ext. drive?

What I do is compress them and throw them onto an external drive. The folders actually ZIP into really small files.

For as many years as I've been doing that - I dont think Ive ever had to go back and unzip a projects attic files. But I know that if I deleted them, I would need something.

I would search the folder ("*.*"), then organize by date created. Anything older than x you can delete.
