2020.4 jumps back one edit in trim

I'm bouncing between 2020.4 on a Mac (High Sierra) and a pc (Win10), which is making my Control/Command head hurt enough as it is.

On the PC, which I'm mainly using to string out quotes, if I select an edit to trim and stretch out the A/outgoing side by dragging right, as soon as I release mouse the highlighted edit jumps back one edit. So now I'm trimming the *wrong* edit.

I've tried replicating on the Mac  (and I'm doing way more, and more complicated, editing on that)

Anyone running 2020.4 on win10 can confirm/deny this behaviour?

Another, possibly related, oddity: When I select a bunch of clips in a bin & right click (eg to access source settings) the selection resets to only the clip I right clicked on. So maybe I have some mouse goofiness going on?

I had the same issue on the Mac today.
