What happened to Audio Keyframe/rubber banding?

I'm running the most current version of Media Composer on a Mac running Mojave.  I can create audio key frames, but then I am not able to adjust them, either volume or placement. That's been my preferred method for audio changes (like in a music track) for years and years.

    What happened!

Did you create a new user setting when upgrading? Sometimes weird stuff like this happens if you bring a user setting forward from an older version, so I'd try creating a new user setting to see if the problem persists.

Perhaps you've accidentally turned off this guy:

He used to live at the bottom of the toolbar on the left of the timeline, but in v2019/2020 he's on the main toolbar and easily switched off unintentionally...

Mikey,  I think you hit it.  I have an old version on another computer (much much older) and I see the "Keyframe" icon on the timeline window.  I do NOT see it on my current version, and cannot seem to figure out where it might be.

Again, I'm able to ADD keyframes, but not adjust them once they are in the timeline.

Hopefully you or someone will know how to help.

BTW - I've been using Avid since the mid 90's, so I'm not a novice.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

That icon is definitely the ticket.

Do you see any of the icons up on the top of your timeline? Like "Render Effect" or "Remove Effect" - It's to the right of those. If you don't see any of those, I'm a little confused. I'm on Mac and using the latest release of MC 2019 before the 2020 beta.

Worst case, you can map to a key using your Command Palette. Look on the 10th tab (Smart Tools) and you'll see the Audio Keyframe Mode as an available mapping.

    Kyler,

That did it!  I hadn't thought of the Command Pallet.  It's strange that it was always there, and in this version I had to go looiing for it.

    Thanks a million!

Happy to help! BTW - It should be where you're looking for it. I'm on the latest version of 2019 and it's right above my sequence like normal. Maybe it's just a bug in your exact version of MC.
