What version of MC are you running, and what Mac OS?

    Re: Title tool

    camoscato,

I am running OS High Sierra. 10.13.6 and Media Composer Ultimate Version 20.4.0.55005 after a major upgrade from MC 7.0. Everything looks different, tools have been moved; familiar things seem to be missing; it's quite a project just getting it all working again after so many years of comfort with what I was using. Never at the highest professional level, but totally adequate for my video art.

    Re: Title tool

I know what you feel like. I used to edit feature films and jumped out to write instead. So there was a large time span between MC versions for me.

The good news for you is this: Everything you loved about MC besides the old title tool is still there. I'm currently cutting short films again, and everything I used to use and more is now available! If you bring up the keyboard and command pallete and map stuff out, you'll be back in business in no time.

The biggest change for me is how the bins work. If you Google it and watch a video it will do wonders for you. It wasn't very clear to me at first.

    Thanks, Kyler,

I'll try to keep an open mind and the patience to come up to speed.

    All best,

I believe you can get the old title tool back. (I say 'believe' because I run Media Composer on Windows, where I haven't had to deal with this issue.)

Go to the Media Composer page on the download center and look for 'Legacy Components'.
