Boost Audio more than maximum gain

    Hi,

i have already boosted the audio of a clip to maximum in the audio mixer, its still not loud enough.

Is there any way to boost it even more?

How can I edit my audio files in any other third party software?

Can I just edit the files in the Avid MediaFiles folder?

    Thanks for your help!!

If you add a keyframe to the audio track you can increase the level by another 12 db. If that's not enough, you can use the plug-ins in the AudioSuite tool to add more.

Thanks!! Is there any way to edit audio files of the clips in another application? Can I just edit the mxf files in the mediafiles folder?

In premiere and audition it was quite easy with just a click. How can I do it here?

If the clips were originally linked (or linked and then transcoded) you could just link to the new version of the audio file after you edited it in whatever app you use.

If the clips were originally imported, you could use Batch Import to point Media Composer to the new version of the audio file.

In either situation, the new audio file has to be the same duration as the original.

Quick and dirty trick is to duplicate the sound clip and have it on two tracks simultaneously. It doubles the sound (+3db).
