    2018.12.10 still not closing

     

    Closing 2018.12.10 does not work every time. I had to kill the process many times over the last year, thought it was fixed in2018.12.10?

    I am curious.  We are running 2018.12.9 on several Macs.  They often hang on closing but I find if we wait them out they most often do close.  It can be awhile.  Have you tried waiting?

    Hi Jef,

    Sometimes I waited, but in general I don´t see the point. It crashes by itself and has to be restarted for other reasons often enough, for simple things like a new drive is on the system and MC won´t add the drive letter or media tool having a mood, If I waited every time I´d loose too much time. And it´s not doing anything, the used RAM remains constant.

    We have a couple of rooms with this issue and engineering has determined that it is probably related to the use of AJA IO cards in those rooms that are end of life and new drivers are not being written for them (Kona 3G I believe).  Rooms using Black Magic Design IO do not have the issue. 

    Don't know if that helps you at all.  I do see that you are using Black Magic Intensity.  I wonder if you were to disable it somehow and test to see if there is interaction causing the issue.
