Editing 360 Video in Media Composer?

Hi all...looking for guidance and recommendations for editing 360 videos in Media Composer. Looking for the right plug-in to use and some advice on workflow. We are just starting to dabble with our Insta 360 OneX camera and are wondering how to import and export out of Media Composer.  So far..the only one I've been able to find is Mocha Pro.

There are some plug-ins and workflow examples out there for Premiere and we are able to run Premiere but would prefer to stay in the Media Composer environment.

360 VR is pretty complex. One way to handle that directly within MediaComposer ist BorisFX Continuum VR. Look for "VR Unit for Avid Media Composer". If you want to mix 360VR and 2D elements like fonts or "normal" rectangle footage, you will need After Effects. They call that "immersive".

What is editing? It´s the process of transforming a collection of badly focussed or horribly framed shots containing reversed screen directions, flare and dirt into a smooth visual statement of the script... ... for which the director takes the credit!

@markss: honestly, give Final Cut Pro X a look. Native toolset. Native HMD support. Simplest way to repurpose 360 content to a 2D frame.

Firsthand knowledge: the performance and stability are unparalleled.

Feel free to email or find me on Twitter for more info.
