    License deactivation an reactivation ... im really tired!

    Hi there,

    in the last couple of weeks I have been activating and deactivating licenses in the company I work at the moment, because we dont need more than 2 at the same time. But often on different machines.

    Not one time i could successfully deactivate the license and reactivate it. Every single time I had to call the support (I dont even wanna know how much the call is) and let it deactivate from them.

    Why is this not possible remotely? And also why does it fail? What do i do wrong? I go into avid link, press deactivate/or do it within media composer. But then it either is not available anymore in avid link under the system id or it deactivated media composer app but shows activa in avid link...what the hell. Im kind of angry. Im fine with this online activation system, but its 2019! I should be able to manage my licenses from anywhere Im logged in!

     

    please fix that!

    I removed your system ID for security reasons...... I reset it for you.

    Success NotificationLicense has been successfully deactivated!

    i really appreciate the fast support!

    it still doesnt work though.

    but why is it the system like this anyways? the user is always dependant on support.

    i now use the avid on another machine. but still cant reactivate it on my preferred one

    imac pro with mojave and all the latest versions of avid link and media composer.

    I'm having the same issue and have a support ticket in but COVID is slowing it down I assume as there is no phone support.

    Any help would be appreciated.
