Hi all,
So, Mr. Sorenson quited the company. But they provided this summer for a short time a special Squeeze Pro 11 version that can still be activated (with a payed pro 11 license) after the company closed. I downloaded that file and made a mistake in safing it well while refreshing my systems. Something with Murphy's Law... The downloadlinks from Sorenson does not work anymore.
My first question is: has there been any communication with Avid to help there friends/users and keep them safe in the future?
Second: I can imagine more people have this 'Murphy' question, so maybe it is a plan to find a simple solution by sharing it via Avid at the forum? It only works with payed licenses so I think this wouldn't be illegal to do.
For now: could someone provide me this mac & win files?
Thank you!!!
Sebastian Tuerlings

Really helpfull, thank you!
I don't yet have your email address. You can send me an email via my profile page so that I can respond with the file as an attachment.
It seems the downloadlinks came alive again.
When Murphy's Law is calling, you can find them here (for the time being):
Hope this helps us all.
Ciao!
Thanks for posting the links. :)
For anyone comming accross this, note also that older licence keys (i.e. version 8.5) seem to work for this "final" release.
And I note that what's left of Sorenson Media just got bought by Neilson, so who knows how long those links will be valid. In my view, Squeeze now falls into the category of AbandonWare.

Thanks for "reviving" this old thread. I didn't expect the links to continue to be active.

Yes, that licence key worked for me on the final version that was available.

And the question is what this means for the users that bought a license of Squeeze with Media composer, be it a full version from the production suite or the lite that came with media composer subscription. For the full pro version Sorenson provided the solution. For the lite?

I am not aware of a resolution to your dilemma. I wouldn't want to speculate on the future, but at the advent of Sorenson Squeeze's EOL, I would assume that this is a dead issue. While it was, imho, very generous of Sorenson to provide the free update to those with an old serial number, fwlw. I wouldn't expect them to jump through hoops to solve every potentiality...and AVID'a hands are tied. So Unfortunately, I would suggest that it is time to move on.

.....There doesn't seem to be any "manual" way I can find to enter my old 8.5 Pro key, and when I select "purchase squeeze desktop," I am then taken online to the following screen.........
....When I enter my email and password I get the following error screen...............
.....Can anyone who has actually done the upgrade to the final version successfully on MAC OS advise me ?
Thanks,

The thing is don't peak too early in life.
Mark,
What does it do when you first uninstall the older version?
What Mac OS are you running?
I just switched back to a Windows 10 Pro system, but in the past I was able to install this final 11.1 version of Sorenson Squeeze Desktop Pro on my Mac Pro 4.1 (early 2009) without any problems.
Hi CineMatica:
