Is is just me or is the scrubbing when trimming in either direction non-existent? I have alwaYs had my settings defaulted to 1 frame scrubbing, and it has always worked for me.
But for a while now, I cannot hear any sound when trimming a clip.
Anyone else?
AVID man, AVID fan (since 1993 with version 4.5 - before multiple tracks!)...like to solve my own problems and I try not to bother anyone unless I'm really stumped.
Scrubbing working here in trim mode with caps lock on in 2018.5
Not working for me in 2018.8
I’ve had the problem where scrubbing is always on

I wonder if there is any relationship with your problem
We have some slightly middle-aged (2015) iMacs in our Avid training room, and Audio Scrubbing is unreliable on them. But on my 2016 MacBbook Pro it's fine. So I'm wondering if this is a problem on older hardware only?

Mikey B - can you send me a screen shot of the Mac so I can tell you....

Was just running into this issue on 2018.9.0 running on a 2017 Macbook Pro, OSX 10.13.6 The fix I found was to turn off Pitch Correction during Shuttle in the Audio Settings. Turn that off, and Audio Scrub returns while trimming. Turn it back on, and no audio.
Seems like a bug to me. Anyone confirm that ther seeing the same behavior??

YES! THAT WORKED FOR ME TOO!
But I do like the pitch correction...so...bug fix??
Thank you Jamie!
