I have made a short film for a school festival. Under the FORMAT tab it says 1080i/59.94, 1920x1080 16:9 interlaced 29.97 fps. The festival has asked for it to be exported as Apple ProRes 422 & 23.98fps. (The "interlaced" "29.97 fps" and "16:9" are grayed out) I don't have a clue how to do this. Can anyone help me?
(I noticed the audio track says (full HD 1080p) (23.98 PS) and the video track says (full HD 1080p).
I am working on a MacBook Pro OS X 10.9.5, AVID 8.3.1. Do I need to include any other info? I tried to attach a screen shot of a bit of the timeline and the format tab.
thanks!
Well it looks like your footage is already 23.98 and you are working in a 59.94 interlaced project.
Just make a new project and select 23.98
Copy your final sequence bin across to the new project. Open the bin and the final sequence.
Avid may prompt to create a duplicate of the sequence with the modified Project framerate., Say ok.
You now have a 23.98 version of your project. Check to amke sure it all looks ok before you export.
I'd mix down to Prores 422 and then do SAS export.
