Currently on 8.4.1 and did not notice this in 8.3. Whenever Media Composer creates media (title tool, renders, AAF exports) it will hang for a minute or two when it reaches the end of the render bar. Anyone experience something similar?

running: imac 3.4ghz, i7, 24gb ram, os 10.10.5, mc 8.4.1

interesting difference with AAF exports is it will only hang at the end of generating the first clip. a minute or two will pass then it will spit out the rest without stopping.

I have intermittent beachballs when saving or quitting. Sometimes for up to 3 minutes and then it wakes up again.

I'm having the same issue, specifically when saving titles in Title Tool.  I timed several titles as taking about a minute to save when it used to be basically instantaneous.  I'm on a 2009 MP Tower, 2.26 Ghz, 32 GB of RAM, Nvidia GTX680 graphics card, OS 10.10.5.

Blackmagic driver can cause this. BM driver 10.4.3 and 10.4.2 gave me the slow saves. 10.4.1 seems to be the best for now.

Thanks.  Great suggestion - it worked for me!  I back-revved from BMD driver 10.4.3 to 10.4.1, and titles are saving fast.

I hope BMD Driver 10.5.1 fixes whatever broke in 10.5.
