comic book title sequence - help!?

    Hi everyone.

I am trying to self teach myself and I have a lot to learn!  In the project I am working on I would like to do an opening title sequence and also end credits that will morph footage from a comic book/graphic novel look to live action.  I found this tutorial, but it isn't for AVID (maybe After Effects? which I don't own).  Can this be done in AVID?

Here is the tutorial I saw:

Oh (not sure if I am supposed to do this)  - I have Media Composer 8.3.0, AvidFX 6.2.  MacBook Pro OS X 10.9.5, 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 8GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

Everything, including this, can be done inside Avid Media Composer. But the reason people don't do things like this in Composer is simple - After Effects can do it a ton better, and in 1/10 the time. Composer is made for editing, and this is much more based in effects and compositing.

Remember with Adobe Creative Cloud, you can grab After Effects for only a month for the cost of a pair of jeans, and then let the subscription laps when the animation is done.

Agreed.  But I would add that it would be a huge mistake to even attempt this in MC.  Wrong tool.

I might be tempted to try this in Avid FX. But then, I'm a glutton for punishment. Stick out tongue
