MC 8.3 and AJA Kona 4 (12.1 driver) not working for UHD capture...

I'm trying to take advantage of AJA's recent unified driver software which includes the Avid Open I/O Plug-in. It is supposed to enable UHD capture in Media Composer 8.3, but the video input drop down in MC is blank when I'm trying to capture UHD.

I'm going to try using the AJA Io 4K today to see if maybe the Thunderbolt connection is the qualified piece of this puzzle - but AJA says the drivers for the Kona and the Io should be the same.

I'm very eager to advantage of DNxHR for 4K workflow on the PC as there are no other practical recordable codecs to work with on the Windows platform.

    Silly question.

By capture, do you mean video coming into Avid via the AJA Io?  It may be that Avid does not support SDI input of 4k.  It may be file only.  I do not know this, just thinking out loud.
