I'm wondering if there is a way to all at once check if there is any media offline in a project, without having to go into each bin and say "select offline media". I'm an FCP girl looking for a similar feature :P

Not positive if this will work but if you open the media tool and set it to display master clips then trying bin>select offline items that might work. Can't say I've actually ever tried it. 

Getting more in detail to method of Kyle:

-open Media Tool

-Select your Media Drives, Current Project, AND select only Master Clips

-let the Media Tool fill up

-In the lower left corner, click the fast menu and select Choose Columns

-Make sure you have the Column OFFLINE selected there

-Now in the Media Tool, double click the OFFLINE Column header and check if there are OFFLINE items listed there

I maybe daft and can't check at the moment.

But pretty sure the Avid Media tool can only display online media.

That's it's job.

If you have a project with no media online the media tool for that project will be empty.

So no I don't think there is an easy way to show what clips have media linked to them or not.

But as MC doesn't lose media as easily as FCP it's not been an issue to worry about before.

You can use the column heading offline in bins to show what's missing and you can sort by that so you can see all the relevant clips at the top.

Or you can throw all the clips onto a dummy time line and then use the offline red color to see whats missing.

Pat just said those magic words I didn´t dare to say .

Besides using the headings in the bins, click the hamburger menu on the timeline and select clip color.  Check offline medai (or something like that, I am rendering right now and can't look) and it should show all offline clips in your timeline as red.  Very easy and visual way to see what's there and what isn't.  Then it's just a matter of matching back to the ciip(s) in question and working with those.
