"DATA DISK TOO BIG" Error message

I am working with Media Composer 10.6 and trying to import a file off my hard drive that's about 2 gigs. When I try to import however I get the "Data Disk Too Big" error message. Now the file is a QuickTime created in Final Cut, so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Is the some restrictions in my user setting I have to change in order to import? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No, what's happening is that you are running into the 2 gig file size limit in OS9. Even though your QT says that it is 2 gigs, by the time it writes header info, etc. it is actually over that. Try breaking the QT in half and import that.
