Some gave me a pile of XDCAM footage. When I try to link by AMA volume, i get the message:

"exception: cannot create the ama sample mapper to play this clip"

I also get this message when I link by file.

I believe I have the correct XDCAM plugin.

This is stopping me from consolidating or transcoding any of the clips. There are hundreds of clips, so I don't want to do them one at a time.

(Occasionally, when I re-boot, I am allowed to watch the AMA clips for a while. Then the error message returns. When the error message pops up, I can't even watch the clips.)

What am I doing wrong?

I use a lot of XDCAM footage and have not seen this error myself, I am running MC 6.5.2    But seems that from Googling around that there were some issues with MC 6.0x and this error.   Also saw this tip while searching-interesting site.

Indeed, this bug has not been fixed in 6.0.3.3.

As soon as I upgraded to 6.5.2, the problem went away.

Makes sense to keep up with the upgrades, I guess.
