Hello,
I know how to export a XDCAM HD mxf file, butI am not able to export an MXF (OP1a) DNxHD 185from my timeline.
I am working with Symphony 6.0.3 on HP Z400
Any ideas
Thanks and best regardsThomas
Currently it's only possible to export an OP1a MXF file using the Sony XDCAM codecs. If the seq is using another codec, it will be transcoded to the selected codec.

Hello Bob,
thanks for the fast reply,so there is no way for that?
a company for Digital Commercials Deliveryhave send me a data sheet.
it says Avid DNxHD 185 MXF (OP1a).
I would ask someone from this company.
Thomas
An OP1a MXF using a DNxHD codec can be created using Interplay Transfer (FKA) Transfer Manager.
Bob,
That sounds like excellent functionality to port over to MC. I'd LOVE to get rid of QT.
is it free?, can not find a download
can I use it on one workstation with local storage?
It's on the Download Center: Avid Interplay Transfer
o.k.
thanks Bob, it is version 2.5 your link with the pdf says 2.6.
I am not familiar with this tool and it looks a little bitcomplicated.
Am I right that i must send my timeline to a ftpor is it possible to send to a folder on the harddisk?
It is a little complicated. It doesn't have to go to a FTP, it can be simply sent to a drive/folder.
You're best bet is to call into support or find a local ACSR that knows how to configure it.
Thanks Bob, lets see, the night is long.
at this time i can transfer my timeline as aaf with the transfer tool.
Have a nice day
Hi, I had to face the same problem. I have to produce Op1a mxf file with DNxHD120 resolution. Unfortunately I've never used interplay before. Is there a workflow for this yet? Thanks.
Found a workflow described here, in German: http://www.framebrothers.de/?p=2321
Excellent, thanks a lot!
Thanks for the link, that tutorial looks good, even using Google Translate.
Along with XDCAM Optical OP1a MXF export, MC v7 adds AS-11 File Export, which is an AVC-I OP1a MXF file. That tutorial calls out AVC-I, which is no longer needed.
Sony wrote AMA File export plugins that can export an OP1a MXF using the XAVC and HDCAM SR codecs
Panasonic wrote an AVC-I P2 Volume Export plug-in.
The tutorial does look good but I still have no luck. Though this forum is about Symphony, the tutorial says MC and I also use MC 6.5. After completing most of the steps as I'd get to the Transfer -> Send to Playback part, this item is grayed out in the menu. The interplay engine is running in the background of course, ftp server is configured just as in the description. Actually I've gone through the tutorial several times and double checked every setting. What else can be wrong?
