Media Composer 6 has been announced today. It's a major improvement over version 5. There is little in the new version that will affect MetaFuze workflows. There are new AMA plugins (like support for Epic) but if you're using DPX files or have used MetaFuze because it makes more sense in your workflow, you may continue using it with Media Composer 6.

Media Composer, Symphony and NewsCutter version 6 are now available for download from the download center.

And please be advised that The Avid Online Store release of Media Composer 6 and Symphony 6 (upgrade) will be delayed until tomorrow November 16, 2011 at 12:00pm EST.  This delay in release is due to an installation issue that was found and fixed over the last 24 hours.
