might it be a matter of directory structure??

Also, what are you getting out of MetaFuze that you can't do in REDCINE X? REDCINE X exports native MXF/DNxHD with more metadata than is extracted from MetaFuze at this time. Available natively for Mac and Windows.

well couldnt figure out actually how to do that from redcine-x it will be my first job with it...
i thought it was only for wieving and grading....
so ill go for that now...
still accepting any tips...
thanks a lot....
It is very straightforward. See:

About halfway through it shows a REDCINE X workflow.
Basically go to export
make new setting. Select AFF/MXF. Select DNxHD frame rate and data rate. Then audio preferences. Then option like SMPTE contrain or full swing. Save.
For each batch processed you will end up with a folder of MXF files (copy to your Avid MediaFiles folder). A folder of AAF files (drag and drop into your bin for automatic relink to media), and an ALE with all additional metadata (merge into existing master clips via ALE merge).
