    r3d folders scanned and not found! need help!!

     

    i got footage on my desktop.. and im scanning my folders with metafuze 2.5...  

    red epic footage.

     

    but metafuze keeps failing finding the files...

     

    anyone that can help?

     

    might it be a matter of directory structure??

    I know Epic support is coming, but it may not be in the latest public release whcih would explaing not being able to see them.I need to confirm.

    Also, what are you getting out of MetaFuze that you can't do in REDCINE X? REDCINE X exports native MXF/DNxHD with more metadata than is extracted from MetaFuze at this time. Available natively for Mac and Windows.

    well couldnt figure out actually how to do that from redcine-x it will be my first job with it...

    i thought it was only for wieving and grading.... 

    so ill go for that now...

     

    still accepting any tips...

    It is very straightforward. See:

    About halfway through it shows a REDCINE X workflow.

    Basically go to export

    make new setting. Select AFF/MXF. Select DNxHD frame rate and data rate. Then audio preferences. Then option like SMPTE contrain or full swing. Save.

    For each batch processed you will end up with a folder of MXF files (copy to your Avid MediaFiles folder). A folder of AAF files (drag and drop into your bin for automatic relink to media), and an ALE with all additional metadata (merge into existing master clips via ALE merge).
