Hi ,
Last night I applied to my system the Patch 5.0.3.6 .
Before applying the patch I was able to lasso clips or audio only of certain clip on the timeline and delete them using the delete key.the system could clear only those clips w/o dragging the rest of the footage on the right side of the timeline.
Now, after installing the patch, the system clears the clips but drags the clips placed after to the point where the deleted clip were begining.
Example: Clip 1 : Clip 2 : Clip 3
Lasso the audio of clip 2 and hitting delete, use to clear only the audio of clip2.
Now what happens is this, when I'm lasso the audio of clip 2 and hit delete, the audio of clip 3 dragged to the place where the audio of clip 2 have been.
Its like Ctrl+X always active and what I used to work with was more like Lift but w/o the need to select tracks and I/O points.
Tried to find settings to change this new behavior . no luck , could not find any.
I hope you understand me. english is not my language and its hard for me to express myself accurately in words.
Lior.
in the timeline settings, second tab, there is a setting concerning the timeline's default behaviour. switch it to "overwrite". (not at the Avid now, so i do not remember the exact phrase.)
Hi,
Thanks but its already on Overwrite.
But , It seem to be a developed behavior . when I start with a fresh timeline that does not happening.
Working more and more brings this phenomena back to life.
this all happened since patch 5.0.3.6 installed . damm...
The 5.0.3.6 patch has been removed from the download center due to many issues it created. You should revert back to a previous working patch.
