I'd like to add my own custom metadata to the mxf's that MetaFuze creates but I can't seem to find a way to do this. There must be a way. Anyone know how to do this? An example would be to add a unique column such as Animator so I know who animated what shots. I've tried just adding this data to the batch xml after <comment></comment> but the batch fails with this new info. I added <Animator>John Doe</Animator> hoping this would work.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

MetaSync may do what you want. It gets installed along with Avid Media Composer. There are also white papers in the Knowledge Base.

You can always add it to the ALE which carries more metadata as well as custom fields. This file can be merged into existing clips or imported directly first and then a relink function done.

Also, if you're using the ALE method to bring clips to Media Composer you could edit the ALE directly or write a script to automate the process.
