    MC / multicam editing tutorial?

    Hello all,

Is there a MC / multicam editing tutorial some where out there? I saw the info on this topic in the Help,
but I rather SEE what I have to do. I am totally new on this, but would love to try it out.

    Thanks!

    Hello Btwien,

Strange that you should ask this question.
I have a list of "Hope to do soon - Tutorials"
Multicam editing is near the top of the list!

For the time being I hope the above replies have helped you.

Well done, Douglas. This certainly provides a nice starting point. If I may, a nice 'part 2' to this tutorial might be to show how to go about revising the selection of camera, moving or merging the edit points, etc. I haven't used the multicam feature of MC yet - now that I've watched your tutorial I think I'll play around with it a bit - thanks.

    Cheers

Thanks Douglas, I will play around and use it right away ....

Just a (off topic) question for you you might want to help me with...Or there might be a tutorial/tip of that I might have overlooked?!

I would like to CUT my audio clip in two...so I can do some diff. effects on it. This might be simple and possible (?), but how?

    Thanks!

I fully agree of course, nice explained I think, hopefully users will be inspired to do some testing, lots more to read in the manual as Douglas describes.

By the way, Steve, did you get my Pm some days ago ?

It is called " add edit " and is placed into the same command palette as i showed you into the other thread, it should also be situated as a shortcut below your viewers, time for you to start with all the tutorials I think

Re: MC / multicam editing tutorial?

Thanks Tomas, that is the one...I am going through the tutorials "on the fly"...
I will go more carefully through the command pallette (thanks again!) when searching for a short key.
Some are very clear, some aren't right away...

It would be nice to show off Avid's ability to generate cuts on the fly as if you were directing a live show using the keyboard to choose your cameras.  Is that even possbile with 1080 material?

Of course, works great, I did a combined Hd Sd in december    2 h 45 minutes  2 dvd discs from a music consert. I had the main cam on a tripod using the sound from that one and cutted in videoclips from the other handheld cam on the fly whilst listening to the music.
