I've recently upgraded from Xpress Pro to MC 3.1.2.
With Xpress, I never had a problem digitizing DV from a Sony PD-150 connected to the front firewire port of a Mac Pro. Today, I connected the camera to the system for the first time since my upgrade. I went into deck configuration and tried adding the channel, but for port, I do not have the "OHCI" option. All I have is "no port". I've tried restarting the software with the cam connected, restarting the computer, trashed MCstate all to no avail.
The Mac sees the camera in the system profiler and for a test to make sure, I can control and capture from iMovie.
For the time being, I'm going to capture on my other system, but i'd like to get this working so I don't have this problem in the future.
Any help is appreciated.
Try opening a new user. Create a brand new channel in the deck config setings and see if the system sees the OHCI port now.
In agreement, Unity. In Disagreement, Discussion. In all things, Charity.
Tried making a new user. Same issue.
Wow, that took a long time! Where ya been?
Ok, so what Mac hardware do you have? Do you have anything other than the camera plugged into the CPU?
I have a Mac Pro and the only thing plugged into the computer besides the camera is an external firewire drive, but it is plugged into a separate firewire/USB card
Sorry forgot to add OS is 10.5.6
For MC version 3.1.2 you should be running OS 10.5.5.

I don;t think this is an issue because if I plug the camera into my Macbook Pro, os 10.5.6 and MC 3.1.2, the ohci port works correctly.
Any ideas????
I cannot believe I am the only one having this issue.
I am having the same issue just with 3.5 on a pc.
