In Avid MC 3.0, I can get a audio and video signal in, but not timecode. Avid does not "see" a deck even though it "sees" the a/v stream. Any ideas how I can get Avid to recognize the deck so I can capture with TC?
How are you trying to control the deck? RS422 or FW?
How is the deck connected?

I am controlling it with FW.
What is the deck?
MC can capture timecode even by my small HV30 cam at HDV.

Have you checked your deck configuration in your user settings? The channel should be "Firewire on OHCI" linked to a machine template either of your exact make and model, or a generic DV device template.

That was it! Thanks Larry. Don't know why it lost the channel settings, but sure enough, it did. Thanks again.
You're quite welcome. Glad that solved your problem.
