In both instances you would need to first output a standard definition QT file. To do that, you need to switch your Avid project type to 30i in the format tab of your project window and then export the sequence to a QT file.

DVDs will require you to encode the QT to an MPEG2 file in either the DVD authoring app or an encoder of your choice. As for the webe, there are many, many choices so checking with your ISP or the Site itself for their requirements is important.

Re: Exporting 1080i/60 to Quick Time

In the manual is says you can cross-convert 1080i/60 to 720p/59.94. Is this not possible? In the format section I can change my -Project Type- to 720p/29.94 and 30i. But when I have the project type in 720p/29.94 my choice for -Raster Type- is -Standard- or -HDV-. Which settings should I choose or could I choose before export?
