I'm absolutely stunned at the amount of work this guy has put into making these tutorials. One can basically learn the entire overview and then some of the Avid just by watching these. I've been editing on Avid for over 7 years on a professional level ( ie television, film etc ) and even I've found numerous tips and shortcuts that have been extremely helpful.
Thank you Douglas for all your hhard work and insight with these videos. The Avid community greatly appreciates it!
Cheers,
David Gallagher

I am not quite sure what you mean Udi.
The tutorials are uploaded on a server at Avid in the USA.I get them to playback here in Japan without any problems.
If you have to wait as they download, it may be because of your bandwidth or computer.I am sorry, but I have no idea.
Regards,Douglas

Dear Douglas,
THANK YOU!I'm John Cherryhomes in Fort Worth, TX. I own a new Avid MC 4.0.5.I'm working to get my folders/files configrued so I can consistantly import/export my media files & converted AVCHD files. These tutorials are good, however there is only so much one can do, with both tutorials and the manual, with Avid Media Composer. I think the people who designed this app were doing too many drugs in college. It's the worst mish-mash of unintuitive, confusing procedures and commands that I think I have seen in 10+ years of NLE experience. What a waste of time and money this application is. I have much better results and make infinitely more progress with Grass Valley Edius 5.5.
I still use Liquid 7.2. It's the champ. I have hardly ever needed to look at the manual from the time I first used it. I can't understand why the ease of use in Liquid was not transferred over to this Media Composer monstrosity. The rank audacity (or stupidity) of it's designers is an affront to faithful Avid users.
Wake up, Avid! Give people something that they do not have to attend a year's worth of seminars to gain any degree of proficeincy!

I'm sure it's frustrating having to learn a new software package after the one you liked was killed off, but that's life. Complaining about Media Composer isn't going to bring Liquid back, so you can either try to come to grips with it and perhaps eventually do some productive work, or rant about it on the internet. Your call.
ciao,Carl

Well, it doesn't take long to see that the vast majority of the people on this forum are whores for MC5. Most of you probably didn't even pay for the app, but downloaded it from a pirate app site.
