    Fit-to-fill audio?

Hi - another nube question - I've found the video fit-to-fill version of the timewarp but what is the best approach for fitting the audio to fill a gap between clips?

    Thanks

In audio suite, there is a time compression/expansion effect, but getting the pitch right can be quite challenging. Unfortunately, there isn't an audio version of "fit to fill". Perhaps a new features request?

If you have it, Pro Tools would be another alternative. Maybe the best one.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I certainly have many tools to stretch audio, I was just hoping that there was something integrated that would make the job easier.

    Cheers

    Re: Fit-to-fill audio?

Here is one of the many ways of "stretching" an audio track to fit.
I will be adding a "squeeze" to fit tutorial shortly.

    Hope this helps, Steve

Thanks Douglas - I knew I'd seen something about this in one of your tutorials way back...

    Re: Fit-to-fill audio?

One thing to becareful of when time compressing audio is phase shift.

I will typically use only one track of audio and have it centered, that should

    eliminate the problem.
