New MC system - widescreen 19" monitors a problem

I've just received a new xw8400 machine and monitors for a new Media Composer station at our facility (not ordered through Avid).  The two monitors that were delivered are 19" widescreen.  Obviously not what I ordered.  Will these work with MC or do I need to send the back for ordinary 4:3 ones.

Nope, they work fine. We have 23" monitors on all of our systems. Just gives you more real estate for windows and toolsets.

Thanks BLKDOG.  I've just swopped screens with my MCA system and they seem to work fine if I set both to 1440x900.  Anything smaller than that looks bad.  Is there a chance that a desktop size this big can reduce system perfomance in any way?

Assuming that your display card can handle that resolution - as it obviously can - there shouldn't be any significant performance hit.  I use dual 23" 1920x1200 monitors on my Xpress (soon to be MC) with no issues.
