Thank you very much. I'll try the Avid installer repair this evening. Here's my system info:
Avid Xpress Pro HD (version??? purchased March 2007 at B&H, NYC)
PC with Intel 2.4GB Dual Core
2 X 1GB memory
Windows XP Professional- service pack 2
nVidia GeForce 7600 GS GPU with 512MB GDDR2 memory
Quicktime 7.1.6
PCI to 1394 (firewire 800) card

Knowing your version number is ESSENTIAL to trouble-shooting. Telling us when/where you bought it means nothing.
Also, this is not supported yet. But likely is not the cause of your issue.
