    DVD Training.

    Hi,
I bought DVD Training Materials (Creating with Avid FX, 3D, etc).
I see very low quality of picture, absolutely low resolution and I don't see anything clear.
    Where lie reason ?

    I checked it.
    Really, you right.
I read that Avid is no 1 on the world and I see total poor quality ?
    It is crazy.

    Re: DVD Training.

I wish I had read this thread before buying the poor quality Avid Training DVD's. The 4-DVD bundle I got was low VHS quality resolution with no ability to view script, buttons or other details in the workspace. The instructor sounds great...but the images are pure video crap. If anyone has found a competing product, where you can actually see the details of the lessons I'd enjoy hearing about it.

    Thanks

    Re: DVD Training.

Yep I bought some at NAB from a company called VAAST and I could believe how poor the quality was, totally amature for a supposive video training company. There are 0 production values and the instructor seems to be making it up as he went along and they didn't bother writting a script. I've takin' seminars from these guys through Future Media Concepts and they were well done. This was a $99 rip-off.

    Re: DVD Training.

The Avid training DVD's I bought that are so poor resolution include the "Creating with Avid 3-D" training disc from Avid themselves. I was shocked at the poor video quality, because my earlier purchase of a different company's product, DTMS's "Inside Avid Express Pro" with Steve Bayes was the exact opposite. DMTS's product was of exceptionally high resolution and quality and plays back in perfect sharpness on my system. Every detail on the timeline is perfect.

I set up another computer alongside my Avid machine so that we can use it to follow along in the lessons in real time on the edit machine...repeat elements or lessons as needed...allowing for maximum learning efficiency. DMTS's product with Steve is perfect for that and folks learn super fast.

Unfortunately, DMTS did not offer the Avid 3-D course...so I had to go to Avid themselves...but their low VHS resolution in the "Creating with Avid 3-D" training DVD product renders it virtually impossible to follow in the menu areas and almost worthless. Unfortunate, because the trainer seems pretty good...if we could only see the lessons.

Steve...please rescue us with a DMTS training video for Avid 3-D!! Please!
