Good morning. My Nitris DX died and I installed a know-good unit plus the PCi board. I ran the installer:DX Driver 67 5.9 setup but my sstem still does not recognize the replacement Nitris. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Hi Mike
I assume these specifications are still valid?
Starting with MC 2018.5, you need to manually install the DX driver, as it is no longer part of the main MC installer.

You also can download the DX Driver, and other drivers, from Avid's Knowledge Base.
Avid Knowledge Base | Drivers for Avid Audio Hardware
It's in the Video Hardware Device Drivers category.

Hi Mike,
Does the orange light at the front go green as soon as you power up the Z820?

I did install the DX driver with no luck
Yes it does.
Yes, it does.
Which version of Windows, and especially which build are you running on your workstation?
Can you see your Nitris DX in Window's Device Manager?
Mike
Good to know the DX lights behave.
If Green: The Host is connected, driver communicating
If Green / Amber: The Host is connected. PCIe negotiated only, no drive communication.
Is the Nitris DX correctly connected? Do you see the HOST light lit green and stay GREEN?
Is the HARDWARE switch set to ON in MC? (You'll find this to the right of the audio meters on the timeline icon ribbon)
