I need to export an EDL including CDLs (for my conform / VFX team). But when I check the box in the List Tool, my CDLs do not appear in the EDL. If I look at the reference clips in my sequence, I'm seeing the CDL values linked to the subclips, but NOT to the raw source files. Please note, this is the OPPOSITE of the issue a lot of folks were having, so decomposing the sequence does NOT work. I'm using File32 EDL, but I've also tried File129 and CMX_3600. I'm on MC 2023.12.1 on a 2022 Mac Studio running Sonoma 14.1.2. Any thoughts?? Or alternatively, is there any way to copy the CDL metadata from the subclips to the raw files?? Or to automatically create markers with it?? Or something?? THANK YOU.
HI there ( hope this is Molly :))
I don’t actually know the answer to this one or have suggestions as all i know is that if you export an EDL from Avid Media Composer including CDL (Color Decision List) information, you want to use the List Tool ensuring you include color effects in the EDL export settings, then export the EDL as a tabbed list.
Since Im sure you know all that stuff, I decided to crearte a acse and see if the guru's in MC land can suggest anything. Case # is 04951987.
Hope all is well in Brooklyn.

Thank you Marianna.
*SOLVED* Had to relink master ALE to source clip bin. Creating bin with .mdb file didn't transfer metadata, only the media. And although metadata was linked to subclips, still we had to go back and link to master source clips.
Hey Molly
Great news!!!!!!!! I put that in the case notes as solved.
Only an email away if you need me.
