Those of you on NEXIS.....
The Media Composer v2024.12 release will be qualified for macOS Sequioa (v15). However, any computer that is running Sequoia will be unable to connect to Avid NEXIS.
Our NEXIS team is working to have a new version of NEXIS for Sequoia compatibility prior to NAB.
Note: Avid NEXIS Client software does not currently support macOS Sequoia (v15.x). Since Macs with the M4 chip are only compatible with macOS Sequoia, M4 machines are not currently supported as Avid NEXIS Clients.
Questions, let me know...

Boris Bcc needs to be updated to 18.0.3 when that comes out later this week or next week. Izotope should be fine on the latest version. Maxon, no clue. Sapphire is in progress.
You can also right click on the media composer app and go to get info and then select "Open Using Rosetta" which will allow it to see your plugins.
Anyone having issues with Black Magic? I have the US 4k mini and audio works and OS is seeing the hardware but Avid will not see the hardware despite it using the blackmagic audio output but can't seem to get anything for the client monitor . Running 14.4.1 on 15.3.1 with 2024.12.0.....
My Blackmagic UltraStudio Monitor isnt seen. Hardware option under the tools dialogue is greyed out and Im not able to activate the HW/SW button.
Was seen and working on 2024.10
You need the 14.5 driver which isn't out yet. It should be out later today or tomorrow.
Feel free to try this. It DID NOT work for me.

Marianna posted about this in another post. There is a driver coming out soon and it works well.
https://community.avid.com/forums/t/205479.aspx?PageIndex=7
Copy that. Thank you. Rolling back fixed this issue for now. Will look for the driver from BMD.
The OpenIO_Blackmagic.acf plugin that installs when you install BMD driver 14.4.1 and before isn't full apple silicon. The 14.5 driver is and 2024.12 will see it when that is released.
If you need to use your blackmagic or aja device or any plugin that hasn't been updated to apple silicon yet, on the avid Media composer app in applications - Avid Media composer, right click on the app itself, go to Get info and check Open using Rosetta. After you get and install the 14.5 desktop driver, then you can uncheck that rosetta setting on avid media composer in get info.
regarding the new version of the NEXIS client coming soon, will it retun the ability to mount and unmountdrives without having to quit out of Media Composer to do so? It's a huge drag. Thanks for the new update and can't wait to kick the tires.
