Cheers for getting the Titler+ tool up and running! I've been putting it through its paces, and I've got a couple of suggestions that would really speed up the workflow:
Fine-Tune with Arrow Keys: Once text is selected, it’d be a massive time-saver if we could adjust size, kerning, etc., with arrow keys + modifiers. Right now, clicking around to change these settings is painfully slow, and dragging to resize lacks precision.
Pixel-Based Sizing: Can we move to pixel sizing instead of rounded numbers? Every agency and brand I've worked with demands pixel accuracy (150px, 72px, etc.). When a client says they want the title at 150px, the current tool leaves us guessing.
3. Certain fonts are not displaying correctly, but in Photoshop etc that are?
Would love to see these changes.
Is there a way to save multiple styles with font, color, etc. for future use without saving all the other parts of the title?
If a title is dropped into a bin, can you tell it to only save certain parameters?
Skewing objects such as boxes is not possible, only fonts? If not, please add that.

Hi mglpost and thenaks for the feedback.
Robert Martindale: Is there a way to save multiple styles with font, color, etc. for future use without saving all the other parts of the title? If a title is dropped into a bin, can you tell it to only save certain parameters?
Currently, it is only avilable while saving it as template in a bin which saves everything. However, it is possible to apply parts of the save template into a selected object by:
1. Selecting the new object.
2. From the bin drag your template with the desired style onto the desired parameter group of the selected object.
For example, is you wish to use the template's font, you can drag the template onto the Font group of the selected object.
Robert Martindale: Skewing objects such as boxes is not possible, only fonts? If not, please add that.
Thanks, you are correct. We'll add that as a feature request. Thanks
mglpost......
Got this and adding it to the titler + product board for consideration. If the team has questions on your suggestions or needs more deets, they will reach out and ping you at your @me.com email address.
Thanks for this....

Glad to hear! Yes, it was always been working like that :) with MC you learn new things every day :)
I never really got this far before...some issue always came up.....nice to have a basic titler in place that works and does not crash or glitch when it animates.....
....the interface always baffles me a bit with the split screens for the titler dedicated window and it all being duplicated in the effect controls....now, i can get used to it....
...and there is no doubt you have to be sure only the track you are working on is active.....or the titler may seem to be unresponsive....
.....if it works...lets work it....start by doing a basic tutorial on filling in letters with video.....

The Dashboard is there to provide users with the essential tools in one place - you can probably get 90% of your title edits in there (excluding keyframing).
However, if you find it redundant or diruptive, with the new version 24.10 the choice is yours. You can go to Settings > User > Effect Editor and uncheck "Open Dashboard Automatically". This way, whenever you go into Effect Mode on a Title the Dasboard won't come up. (at any give time you could click the dedicated button in the Effect Editor toolbar to bring it if desired.
The auto track monitor is a nice request. I'll log it in our system as a potential feature request.
As for the Fill Replacment, I do hope a tutorial will be generated soon, until then the process is rather simple:
1. Create your Title
2. In the Effect Editor: Set Foreground > Fill Overlay to 100 (should turn fill to black (transparent) at this stage)
3. In the Timeline: Step-in to your title segment and add media to sub-track 1.2 (fill)
Now you should see the media in 1.2 coming through your title - Here's my shiny gold text:

nice....and golden for sure....thanks for the information....it appears that everything in the title is changed with the bgnd change....so, any outline or shadow also gets filled in...
is there a way to have video in the main text and keep the outline? Just a guess that would mean creating duplicate titles and laying the outline only title on top of the orgiinal.....

Correct, the media is applied to the foreground of the affect and therfore affecting all object's fill. As you've mentioned and as you can see in my example, you can simply duplicate the layer and add your outline and/or shadow.

Philip, thats great, thanks.
the tutorial is a decent starting point.....suggest you add the tip about shadow and outline.....
also, the video fill can be easily manipulated for size/position/cropping/color, so editors can get the exact fill they want if the video has movement or different highlights....example...wanting a flag waving in the font...if the fill is not changed for size, only a small portion of the flag will show....
