    Getting access token in CTMS

    Hi All,

I was following instruction on getting access token in authentication. In Authorization header, i need to enter Base64 encoded payload<Application ID:Application Secret>. Where can I get app ID and app Secret from? Is it my system admin? or do I need to apply to it or where?

I'm working on converting interplay SOAP web services calls to Rest API calls.

Thanks a lot for the help!

    Don

    Hello Don,

Which instructions were you following? Could I get a link to that documentation for context?

Apologies for my delayed response. I notice this is for CloudUX.

Could you send me an email so I can get you in touch with a developer or an individual who can answer this?

Re: Getting access token in CTMS

    Hi all,

I also ran into an issue when trying to generate an access key on the MCCUX REST API.

I registered a test app in my Marketplace Seller account to create App ID and Secret. The status currently is "In Review". I base64-encoded the string <App-ID>:<Secret> and used it as Authorization Header (prefixed with "Basic ").

I tried both, Postman and curl. However, I am not able to get an access token back. The error message is "Unknown client or client authentication failed." I strictly followed the instructions on
    https://developer.avid.com/cert/getting_started_with_ctms/guide.html
but without luck. Then I tried to execute the call with curl directly from the CUX host itself - same error message.

Does anyone know a missing bit over here? I welcome any idea that could help.

    Hi Andreas Hartmann Drift boss

I'm also having the exact same error, even though I've checked the App ID and Secret carefully, and encoded correctly, it still says "Unknown client or client authentication failed". Tried both Postman and curl but they didn't work, making me suspect that the app might be in "In Review" status. I don't know if anyone has passed this step, I really need more specific instructions.
