    External Drive for Mac Studio

Hi Folks, I'm starting on a series next month and I'll be using my Mac Studio for the first time. Does anyone have any suggestions or advise in terms of getting an economically priced and good quality external drive for the footage? I figure one TB is good but maybe I should get two to be on the safe side. Any advise is appreciated! Mac Studio M1 with 32 gigs of ram. I cut with 3 monitors: one for bins, one for Composer and one in Full-Screen mode. (I don’t use a TV Client monitor) Monterey 12.5.1

You can just buy an NVME SSD (Samsung, Crucial, Western Digital) and a USB 4 case. You should achieve about 2GB to 3.5 GB/s in sustained transfer speed.

I've actually been using Samsung T7 portable drives for some indie feature projects. Work great and are cheap enough to buy a few extra for backups.
