My system is as follows
Dell Precision T7400 (running Wins 7 OS at 64bit)
I have a Medea VideoRaid RTR
Firmware 01.58x2 (09/19/2003)
I am about to aquire a Medea VideoRaid 10/640 RTRX plus Adaptec 29160 SCSI card. I will confirm the Firmware version when it arrives.
I am trying, without sucess to see the RTR on my computer. I have used an Adaptec 39320A but the config tool does not even see the RTR on my system. I now understand that the Adaptec 29160 will work with Medea devices. Is there a Win7 64bit driver available to use?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have also been suvccessful in unplugging the cable to the drive after turing it off.... booting the PC and then CAREFULLY connecting the cable and powering up the drive. This can force it to be seen but this is the last resort.

Hi Marianna
I have now got the Medea VideoRaid RTR. The Firmware version is 01.00x37 (3/5/02) which suggests it is an older version. I tried to get the raid to talk to my PC. Initally, after updating the configuration for disks 1-5, I managed to get the Medea to be seen on my PC. However, when I tried to update the configuration for disks 6-10, my PC did not see them. Then for some reason it had lost sight of drives 1-5.
I did notice that the onboard configuration went back to say it was unconfigured on drives 1-5 (which I thought was odd). I also saw that the operating temp was around 32-33 degrees which is very near the limit.
Bearing in mind the old firmware version installed, was this a bug issue that was solved in more recent firmwre versions and if so, where can I get my hands on the latest firmware version?
Kind regards
Phil
