M1 Studio and most versions of MC are troublesome. 16' MBPs better, but either way, remember you are working off Rosetta as Avid do not support native silicon. (It's been out 3 years so I'm guesssing that will never happen.) If you do find a random combo of OS and MC that works, run that on every machine as the you could be in for a rough ride with different systems. 

Thanks for your response Steen. Wow. I hope my ride isn't too rough. I'm on a M1 Max Studio Pro with 32 GB RAM; OS is Monterey; and my version is MC Ultimate 2024.2.0. I'll let everyone know how it goes!
