Hi everyone,
I'm a professional editor and I work on a clients pc. They don't know the andwer, so...
When I need to export sequences Avid always says: 'the sequence contains media offline. continue exporting or abort?'
I can tell you... there's NO media offline. I had this for three years now. The problem is that when I select multiple sequences to export, he stops after 1 because he always gives the same 'warning' and then I have to press 'continue' between every export. So I can't like set up exports during lunchtime or in the evening after work.
When I do it on another pc, the Avid doen't show that message. So it's only on my workstation and not linked to the sequences...
Please help :).
Elke.
Hi Elke
It would help to know your system specifications. Which specific version of Media Composer are you using? Which specific operating system? Processor? Amount of RAM? Video card? Is your media linked, transcoded, or imported? Where is your media stored? Look at my profile at the bottom of this post for an example.
If you fill out this information in your profile, you won't have to type it out every time you need help.

Hi,
ok I will paste it here now since I am on my phone.
HP Z4 G4
the media is professionally imported by the client. As said... only my pc gives that warning. We use the Nexis server system :).
regards,
elke.
I'd start with a simple sequence with just one audio track with one audio clip and try exporting that. Then add a video track and try exporting that.
Then add a second audio clip and second video clip and leave a gap of black and test exporting that.
The key is finding what is triggering the media offline detection.
It could be the "black" in the timeline as this is built in media that is played as black and I've seen this be corrupt.

SOLVED
Avid had trouble with a mask effect that wasn't offline at all... Made a new one and now everything works again.
Thank you every one!
