    renewing Avid Affiliate status

Hi all, we've been enjoying the benefits of being an Avid Affiliate for the past year, and the students are definitely appreciating the access to licenses. But as we are approaching the 1 year mark, I have been looking for information on the process to recertify our institution as an Affiliate and continue the license availability. I can't find anything documenting the renewal process. Does it just "roll over" into another year? Are we just in the program until we opt out (which would, for us, be never!)

I'm mostly concerned about the student licenses suddenly evaporating mid-semester because we didn't request to re-up the Affiliate status. Can anyone shed light on this?

    Thanks!

    Hi Charles,

You should send an email to Marianna Montague ([email protected])v and Ajay Yumul ([email protected]). They are Avid's customer advocates, and can help you get in contact with the right person about the education programs.

    Hi Charles,

So the plan is to have the annual academic eligibility reverification process renew the license but as of the moment this workflow is still a work in progress. Hopefully between now and mid of March this will get place and implemented.

    Thanks,

    Ajay

    Hi Ajay,

Just checking back in. Avid Link is telling us the licenses will die in about three weeks. We have still heard nothing about recertification. Can you clarify what will happen soon, rather than have all our licenses dying all of a sudden?

    Thanks!

    Hi Charles,

The team is currently working on the renewal process for the Media Composer affiliate program. The plan is to have the renewal process push through before the license expiration.

I already added your MyAvid account in our internal tracker so that the team and I can monitor and check it.

I will provide an update to you once I got a feedback from the team.

You can email me directly at [email protected]

    Thanks,

    Ajay
