Hi,how can I use sound effects(Audio Suite) to reduce or remove wind noise(created by low-cut)?
As you've already suggested, using the various filtering tools to boost/cut specific frequencies has been the standard way of doing this in the past.
However, I'd suggest you look at the newer tools that do a very good job of this with a few mouse clicks.
For MC, there's BorisFX Crumplepop. The free version will remove some types of noise, but you'll need the paid version for specific problems such as wind noise.
Davinci Resolve also has tools that do a similar thing, but of course that means some sort of round-tripping, or preprocessing of camera rushes before bringing them into Avid.
Also as Bruno says, if you have an adobe license, you can probably access the enhance speech online. (also built into premiere) That tool is insane as to what it fixes.
Crumplepop looked very promising. Unfortunately, it doesn't work at all (I have a license), at least for me. I reported the problem to Boris support, corresponded with them, recorded a video showing the inability to work at all, 3 weeks passed and silence. I'm waiting.
