Now I made my titles with Aviud Titler Plus+. I hope this titler will also be able to produce animated titles, e.g. rolling titles.

If it's an issue within the plugin's UI, the customer will have to contact the developer of that plugin.

But, are you able to download the RED 5.6 installer from the Boris FX website to your machine?

As I said before, normally your serial from version 5.5 should work with any problems. I own two licenses of 5.6 while I never paid for an update from version 5.5 to their final version. This was a free update back in the days.

When I open the Support/Download/Legacy D9ownloads and choose

Product: RED

Host: Avid

Version: 5.6

Platform: Windows 64 bit

In PRODUCTS I choose Boris FX Suite,Download a trial.

The Boris Fx Hub downloads.

I enter my activationkey I used for Boris FX 5.5,however this is not accepted.

Hey Roland.  Can you post if Avid is able to help you fix Boris Red?  My Red 5.6 was working great wtih MC 2023.12.  I just switched to Windows 11 and I think the problem is Activation.  I can enter my Serial and use that same Serial in the Stand Alone Red program.  It works, but I have to do that EVERY time.  In Avid, I get a Runtime error and have to shut down MC as it goes into perpetual "No Response."

I asked Boris FX for an updated Activation key and this was the response from Neal Berkowitz, Boris FX Support:

No am not able to do that.  Red is dead and no longer supported. I can not generate any new keys anymore.

Looks like their Activation server no longer works.  So why is it available on thier webside to download?  https://borisfx.com/legacy-downloads/?&product=RED&host=Avid&platform=Windows%2064-Bit

I am going to try and contact their director of Sales and see if he cares. There are some presets that are easier to use in Red than Contiuum.  And I like having the option since I paid for it.

I still fire up from time to time my old computer running Liquid, Media Composer 4 when a DV tape needs a firewire input.

Every 7 years or so you need to replace the PC. No reason to junk the old one if it still works.

I'm still running Liquid under Windows 10 Pro. This is what I use for S-Video and firewire input. I've another copy on an XP system that still works as well.
